African & Asian predators

Some overdue additions to the photo galleries today. The Golden Jackal was photographed in 2017 on a scorching afternoon in southern Sri Lanka. The African Wild Dog (Painted Wolf) was photographed in the Olifants region of the Kruger National Park. I had to break a curfew time to get this shot but thankfully avoided any repercussions for doing so! The pair of Lions were photographed shortly after they’d wandered away from a carcass, leaving the scraps to a variety of vultures and a Black-backed Jackal to pick over.

Three new Central American additions to the gallery today. The Amazon Kingfisher photographed on the Rio Frio near to Nicaragua, the Mantled Howler Monkey near the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica and finally the Fer-de-lance, photographed on the remote Osa Peninsula.
