Hyenas, Macaws and Sunbirds

Another selection of images have been added to the wildlife gallery. The Spotted Hyena was photographed on the roadside whilst I was driving in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. The Scarlet Macaw was one of a small flock that landed in a tree as soon as I left the small airport at Puerto Jiménez on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica, and the Purple Sunbird was photographed in the Udawalawa area of Sri Lanka.

Frogmouths and Fritillaries

Two new images have been added to the wildlife gallery today. First is a Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary, an increasingly scarce butterfly in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Second is a pair of Sri Lanka Frogmouths photographed at their roost in the Sinharaja rainforest of Sri Lanka.
