It’s been a while since I’ve made any updates to the website. The main reason, as usual at this time of year, is the amount of time I’ve been spending working with the Nightjars. I have, however, started to find the time to pick up my pencils again after a long break. I was recently asked if I could draw a picture of a recently lost family cat (Indy) for someone to give to his wife as a wedding anniversary present. It’s one thing drawing a generic Cheetah or whatever, but another thing to draw a very specific individual animal that people have come to know and love over many years. It has to look like their cat or there’s no point. It was a bit of a challenge, but I eventually produced the above drawing using pastels and dark grey pastelmat paper. It was a big relief to hear that the recipient was very pleased with her gift!
