Some new avian additions to the gallery… From Sri Lanka, the very common Indian Pond Heron hunting from a dead tree in the waters of Udawalawa and the White-rumped Shama – a bird I found in a densely vegetated part … Read more

Muggers, Badgers and Dippers

Gallery page tweak pt.2

Iguana, Basilisk and Babblers

Today’s new images in the gallery are the Arrow-marked Babbler, the Double-crested Basilisk and the Helmeted Iguana. The Arrow-marked Babbler seen here was towards the southern end of its range in South Africa. The Double-crested Basilisk, or Jesus Christ Lizard, … Read more

I’ve made various small tweaks recently, but they’re so minor that they’re not really worth listing (besides that would require me to remember what they all were, which I can’t!). I have added a new page though to draw attention … Read more

Some overdue additions to the photo galleries today. The Golden Jackal was photographed in 2017 on a scorching afternoon in southern Sri Lanka. The African Wild Dog (Painted Wolf) was photographed in the Olifants region of the Kruger National Park. … Read more
